2007 Silverado, Bose and Powered Sub

I have a 2007 Silverado 1500 with factor bose system. I also have a Sirius SIR-PS1 powered sub, using my stock head unit. I took my center console apart and found the amp. I got the wiring diagram which told me that my rear left and right speakers were dark blue/light blue and yellow and brown

on the blue harness that plugs into the amp, I connected my hi-low wires which came with the sub to the proper colors.

after doing so the rear speakers would not work, nor did the sub.

I wanted to avoid taking the rear seat out and the side panels to get into the wiring in the rubber tube in the door.

Can anyone help me out why this issue is happening and how to resolve.

And can anyone tell me if the 2007 head unit has rca jacks at all

thanks

After you disconnected the sub wires did the rear speakers begin working again?

There are no RCAs on the deck.

yes when i removed the ground wire they began to play again.

did i splice into the proper part of the wiring? as i had said i spliced right before the blue harness that plugs into the bose amp, there are 2 harnesses, but only the blue harness had the right wires, i verified they were the right wires by pulling back the rubber gromit tube in the doors and exposed them there.

Try connecting just the positive wires from the sub amp to the truck speaker wires.

the sub is a powered sub, so im using the hi-lo cable that came with it. its a square plastic clip with 4 wires coming out of it, 2 blacks, a white and a pink. the blacks are negative and the white and pink are the positives.

So your saying to disconnect the negative wires (2 blacks) from the negative rear speaker wires that go to my powered sub.

Right. Try using just the white and the pink.

no that did not work, i ended up taking the back seat out, followed the wires, the light and dark blue wires went from the right suicide door, along the back panel behind the insulation and down till it met with the left suicide door brown and yellow, they then went along the floor there up to the front. so i spliced into those wires and i got bass, the only thing that i do not like is when you shut the truck off it makes a knocking noise like feedback, so i may have to go out and get an actual hi-low converter instead of using the 1 built into the sub. I also noticed that it seems like my capacitor which is a scosche. the digital display goes out as soon as the sub gets a signal

I'm having a weird issue now, when I start my truck, I have to disconnect and then reconnect the hi-lo harness from the sub in order to make the rear speakers work and to get the sub to work. And when I turn the truck off it thumps the sub.

if you are splicing from the amp connector and this sub has an amp i would say you would have a prob

have you tried actually splicing from the radio harness speaker outputs?
