8" powered sub install - 2010 Mazda 3
I picked up a Bazooka 8" 100w powered sub at a boxing day sale yesterday. Now I'm lost trying to get it installed and wondering how much it will cost to get it done privately (Futureshop and the other install places in Oshawa are a bit out of my budget). It says on the box that the stock system in the car will be fine, and no deck or amp is required. Is this true?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Do you have basic car audio installaton experience ??
Stock radio usually does not provide subwoofer output terminal. The simplest way is, run power wire from battery terminal with fuse to the bazooka, connect the 2 pair of rear speaker wires (Left & right), to the bazooka 2 pairs of high level input terminals. Use the auto turn on connection to eliminate the use of turn-on wire.
You will lose the 2 rear speakers.
Of course there are other sophisticate methods as well.
I have bazooka on my other car, which is a good & simple choice. Easy install, take away anytime.
Actually I picked up 1 pc. on boxing day thinking to install on my 11 Tucson. It prices @us$229 as U.S Bbuy. Can't resist @C$119. Bought 1 & think abt it later.
Since the output of stock speaker is weak, I think just cut it off, until 1 days I sell the car.
Sorry, correction, last sentence should read: until 1 days YOU sell the car.
