yes ive tried my uncles head unit which is a cda 9857 or soemthing like that and it still skips.. i really dont know what the problem is. when im driving on certain bumps it wont skip like the pretty deep ones that r constant and the ones that are constant but there like small mogos itll skip . can it be when the radio gets to hot it does this? sicne mines a 302 v8 with t-tops so it gets abit of sunlight on the face plate.

the suspension is stock i dunno what brand it is. could that be the problem? its a fantastic radio full of fantastic features. and i dont want to throw it away. could it also be the wiring of the radio? could that make it skip? i ddnt use an adapter i cut the wires and i soldered them to gether and put tape and now my harness is just lying on the floor behind my radio. but not to close so the radio has a lot of free space for air circulation.

k.... have a seroius look at your ground. and make shure that your getting the proper voltage to the harness its self. you should test the voltage drop while the unit is pluged in and working. try replacing the ground. check the grounding system from the battery. other than that i dont know with out actually seening whats going on. btw.... how much of a angle is the radio ? is it in the factory location or did it get tilted more ? for better visability. if so that could be a major problem with the skiping.
