'90 T-bird HU wiring difficulties

I just got a ford thunderbird and decided i had to get rid of the stock head unit in order to power my subs so i went and clipped off the wiring harnesses off the car, thinking i could just wire them up and be blasting that night, but i can't get the colours hooked up correctly, and ever since my stock head unit has been removed my dash lights no longer work, I am in desprate need of some help just can't get it working

That's a pretty considerable error you've made. At this point you should think about taking it to a professional.

i dont know exactly what you cut or w/e
but there is a wire that is called "remote wire"
its usually black
my subwoofer amp is connected to it and if thaat wire isnt there amp wont turn on
maybe dash connects to that as well and you cut it?
is there a way for you to wire it back up exactly the same way as it was?
can you take some pictures for us?

dash lights

well i can probably get the HU connected but i still don't know how to complete the circuit for the dash lights, there is an illumination wire a dimmer wire and a dimmer ground, all of which my Head unit lacks. Does anyone know how i can complete the circuit so i can see my dash at night?

Cool

Your dash lights do not work because you probably blew the fuse for them. (see fuse box 5 or 7 amp). This fuse was probably blown while you were tryin to get your radio to work......

There no connections at your deck needed for dash lites to work.

Never the less, Take it to a professional ! Before somethin really bad happens

Dash lights

yes, there is a connection to the head unit, it says right on the wire "dash illumination" and "dimmer" the wires run through so when you dim your dash lights the stock radio dimmed along with it. I just don't know how to get them properly connected. Unless someone knows something else that might help i guess i will have to take it to a professional

re-wire the connector back in place properly(solder and shrink tube is the way), and go to Canadian Tire, Future Shop, Best Buy, or any car audio retailer and buy a harness connector for 10-15 bucks.

The dash illumination wire is for the decks that requires it for dimming the display.. when lights are on. If the deck don't have this function, just leave it disconnected.

Your dash lights is not working is probably you have a blowned fuse. the fuse box is located under the driver's side dash, see pic below for location.
