93 daytona install question

I wired up my deck as I just bought the car and it had a deck not included
and im only getting highs out of the dash tweeters the guy I got it from said it had an amplified system with the amps on the factory speakers. Im missing somthing because he had his deck installed somewhere and said it sounded great maybe a factory amp turn on is not cdonnected on my end? Any help would be great thanks guys

if it was an amplified system, the amp turn on wire is the last pin on the black plug. (Furtherst away from the little tang)

Sounds to me like the guy had an aftermarket amp hooked up to his factory speakers. They come with Bose or Infinity I think. It could be that the speaker leads that are at the HU are not actualy connected.
Pull the door panels off and take a look at the speakers. If the stock wires are hooked up to them then your problem is somewhere else if there is aftermarket speaker wire there then un hook it and hook the stock wires back up.

One other thing.
What harness are you using.
The proper Metra harness is the 70-1817
This is from the install instructions:

For vehicles with the amplified
sound systems including the
Infinity sound systems: In order
for the factory amplifier to turn on
and off, connect the blue wire on
the 70-1817 harness to the aftermarket
radios amplifier turn on wire.
I don't know if this helps you or not but heres to hoping it does
