94 Jeep Grand Chreokee Limited Infinity Gold System?

Can anyone tell me more about it? I am looking at picking one up and it has an Infinity Gold cassette deck with equalizer and all that jazz. I understand there is a seperate factory amp and whatnot. I would want to throw a cd player into it and want to know how much of a pian in the *** it is.

take out the stock deck, get a dash adapter or bracket adapter (b/c the stock deck i belive is 1.5 din) and some chrysler wiring harness adaptors (make sure u get the right one for the jeep) and from there on its plug and play.

I was more concerned with the factory amp. I know alot of vehicles its not as simple as plug and play with a different deck. So no need bypass then?

Nope, that system is easy, just make sure to hook up the amp remote turn on to the factory amp turn on wire.

dude just like a i said its plug and play. I've owned 2 Jeep grand cherokees and both had that infinity crap in them. so i'd say i know what im talkin about.

Thank you all. Tinted, I am sure you know what your talking about. I just have heard lots of horror stories about stock amps.
Looks like I will be picking it up as long as the compression test comes out fine. We'll see. I got em to knock off a couple grand off the tag so its a pretty sweet deal. [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]
