Hi , I was wondering if anyone has ever installed an aftermarket amp for mids and highs in an 97 Eldorado. I tried doing it but there is a lot of noise and sounds really bad.

It had the Bose upgrade system. The bose system has four amps , one on each speaker and a main unit behind the rear seat. I put in aftermarket mids and removed the Bose amps from each speaker.

I tried getting the signals from the unit behind seat and tapped the speakers from there as well but it just sounds horrible! I need to keep the factory deck for now. If anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of the noise that would be great. Thanks.

the ground for the amps are pretty short and are on sanded bare metal. Is there anything else I should look for?

Added the cap but unfortunately it didnt work. The noise I am getting is not alternator whine . It sounds more like static or poor reception on a radio station.
