'97 Jimmy 4-door, only left speakers work?

I just recently bought a '97 4-door Jimmy which came with an AM/FM tape deck. When I drove it home I noticed the right speakers didn't work at all. Not even a crackle. I figured maybe there was just something wrong with the stock tape deck, but when I hooked in my CD player today it does the exact same thing. Only the drivers side speakers work. Do the speaker harnesses plug into more harnesses somewhere other than the deck? For all 3 speakers on one side to not work, something fairly central should be disconnected or something, right? The only weird thing I noticed was a plug that wasn't hooked up on the stock deck and only had one green with black stripe wire in it. The aftermarket harness has a slot for it, but no wires leading into that slot, and it looks like it was even taped back at the factory so I assumed that it was nothing. The other 3 plugs are complete and accounted for, so I can't see anything wrong there. Unless some asshat went and unplugged all 3 speakers on the right side only, I'm thinking there has to be something going on inside the dash. Anybody with the know-how care to help me out here?

could just be a loose wire in the speaker location or just a blown speaker

try to take it out and try it on a home system if it works you have wireing issues

The deck was in another vehicle of mine only a couple months ago, and I bought it brand new a few months before that. It's an Alpine with a manual flip face, I can't remember the number off hand. In any case it's definetely not the deck, it worked like a champ. There are 3 speakers on each side, the entire right side is dead silent, I have the front passenger door panel off and the speaker is intact but doesn't even try to move. I didn't pull it out to check to see if it was connected, I should have but it didn't seem like much of a possibility since all 3 speakers don't work. Somebody would have had to go into both doors and into the dash to disconnect all 3. The wiring to the deck all looks good, I'm stumped by this one. Does anybody know where exactly the speaker harnesses run throughout the vehicle? I may have to just do it the hard way and trace the whole right side...

i have no clue about the wireing of that jeep but also all 3 speakers on right could be all wired at the same place in the door most of the time... my van has 2 speakers on each side and were wired together in the door could be the same in your case also

It's a GMC Jimmy, not a Jeep...different manufacturer. In any case, that's kind of what I'm wondering, if there is a secondary connector that splits them all off and where it would be? Since it has speakers in the dash and then in the seperate doors I don't think it'll be in the door, but I'll check. I'd like to know exactly where it is though.
