Looks like my new components and amp kit are going to arrive in the mail tomorro and the install will start this weekend....i was wondering about sound deadening the doors...is it really necessary to do the whole door or can i get alot of benefits from something like dynamats door kit where its just enough sheet to cover where the speaker mounts (30$ at futureshop), and what else do i need to make sure the install goes smoothly and im not drivng around town with my door panales off looking for a part i need to get the job done....ive never installed components befor so i dont really know what parts i may need that arent included with the ef-61cf component set or the kolak 4 amp kit that i got.

 

well i am going to say put some deadening right behind the speaker your bass from the speaker will improve it will sound much better. when you put the door back on make sure that it is put on proper or else it will rattle back and that will ruin everything. good amount of wire is needed, patients make sure you do things right the first time saves later troubles. if you need any help let me know i have put in a number of comp sets.

 

I would do the entire door, you didn't spend $ on your components to not get them to sound as good as they can. Find a Brown Bread dealer locally and get them to hook you up with 2 Bread Sticks, this is usually enough to do both doors and should not cost an arm and a leg to do.

the nu-tech store here has a door kit for 129.99 by ?cascade? i think its called....is that what i should pick up or order from b_quiet some brown bread? anyone deal with nutech?

 

Well if you want to use it this weekend you may not have much other choice, but for less than $140 you can have 35ft^2 of brownbread delivered to your door from b-quiet. Not cross border, pretty quick delivery.

I've never used the cascade kit but I bet it couldn't be more than 12ft^2 of material.
