Aftermarket HU wiring - speaker trouble?

Had a similar problem with my fathers van awile back, check your impendance with a meter, my guess is you are running your head unit below 4 ohms. Stock speakers have some odd impendance ratings, im not sure what the jeep would be tho. You will have to check and see. gl
