AM frequency causing distotrion?
#1
So far still working out some issues, but a new issue happend on my way to work, amp running fron speakers (gain about 1/2 way) use to be lowest level. Well found out now everything is cool listening to a CD, fm radio, but am radio (talk radio/news) the front speakers distort at a moderate SL. The fronts are crossed over at 80 Hz. If i turn the bass signal down it almost disappears. Wondering if I need to raise the cross over to 100 Hz or turn teh gain down on the amp? Anyone run into this before?

Do you have neon tubes in the car that are on when the stereo is on ?
In my Accord I used to have my neon all the time with the stereo, the antenna cable runs under the amp rack, the frequency that the transformer ran at induced this horrible noise into the am signal.

No no neon tubes, didn't test if it occurred when turning left and right. It seems if I turn the gain slightly down it does not occur as much, however the antenna is on the same side as the amp, so there could an issure there. Its workable right now.
