amp bridging.....

amp bridging.....

im loooking to upgrade to a 1000W amp but need to kow if i can bridge 3 channels or if im only allowed to bridge two channels.

and is 2ohm capable

also i would be fine running 8G wire?

thats the thing, the guy selling it has no manual and im having a hard time finding one on the net.

Not sure what you're upgrading from but this "1000WATT" amp is a little misleading for the consumer.
You may wish to take a look at the manual for this one:

The amp is really rated for 35rmsx4 at 4ohm and this is at 14.4v and at 1kHz which means you're going to be really lucky to even see 35w per channel from this one.

So to answer your question: yes you can bridge one side of it but this amp will only give you 35x2 + 100x1 out of this "1000 watter".

And yes a single 8g power wire will be fine for it (although not for a true 1000watt amp).

im thinking of moving up form a 800W sony xplod rated at 125WrmsX2 at 4ohms.

so in other words are you saying that i shuld stay with the 800w amp as the 1000W is not as good as it seems?
