Amp install for Morel Tempo's (Pics Included)

Today is a great day.

I finally got my MTX amp installed for my Morel Tempo 6.5 components and I am very pleased. With them on an amp it's like night and day. A huge improvement in each and every musical way.

Well, As you can see from the Crossover. The Futureshop dude (Senior installer) Used tape, And taped it inside the door panel to the metal. The crossover terminals are all rusted to hell also. TAPE?!?!?!

The amp rack was pretty well done, Nice black paint and is really solid. I decided to mount the Crossovers there because I don't want them in the doors again for obvious reasons.

The Midbass drivers have some rust on them already, And they were only installed in September. Just shows you what the winter in Canada and salt can really do.

Also the surround's glue is coming loose a little. The way they were previously installed the screws were pushing down on them ripping them up.

The guy that installed my stuff today said he's going to get the proper glue to fix it sometime. He did a great job and is starting a new audio shop here.

He charged me $130 for the install, That includes the MDF rack and several hours because of the wire runs. I even helped him out a little because I'd like to learn more, He seem to know his stuff and even soldered the proper connections instead of just...Crimping them.

Power wire was ran down one side of the car, RCA's and speaker wire on the other side. I still get a slight popping noise and a really faint hiss, But I really don't want to tare apart to fix that, It's not a big enough issue.

Also the Knukonceptz stuff is amazing, The installer loved it so much he's going to order it for his shop.

Looks good.
If you back the gains down just a tad, the hiss and the pop will probably go away.
Those TC amps are know for it.

knukonceptz saves lives.

as for the hiss/popping noise, try grounding the headunit with some 10awg/8awg to the chassis of the car. this helped in my situation with my alpine unit

Good idea.

I have a funny feeling it's the headunits ground.

At least I don't have an alternator whine like last time

I figured out how to fix it.

I had RCA's for the non-fader hooked up but I still don't have a sub yet. So it's sending a signal to the amp and I don't have the power for it. I disconnected those RCA's and the hissing wen't down quite a bit.

Darin, I told you that power would bring those speakers to life! If there is a issue with the speakers themself and the glue being faulty, let me know and although I am no longer open as a business, I will ensure that you can get warranty on your speakers or I will replace them to you.
