ok almost every time I turn on my deck I get an annoying sound(sumthn like a pig squealing or sumthn).the music still plays and subs still work but over it its just like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... all the time except for ur odd moments when it actually shuts up... what is causing this........u kno?...anbody?....help?

Its called alternator wine, comes from bad grounds or rca run next to the power wire. Improve grounds and run the rcas by themselves. Google it for more info.

sounds like a good old case of alternator whine keep all signal cables away from speaker wires and power wires. and check your grounds

also ive never seen this with an audio setup but when you roll down like 4 power windows at once if your serpentine belt is bad it will squeal on the alternator when it gets loaded up ive had stedy belt slippage on my truck when running alot of electrical stuff at once but i dunno if it could happen with an audio system...

 

What are you on about? Thats an NISSAN 240SX not a prelude or civic. It says so in my name and in my sig, how can you miss that? Doesn't even look like a prelude.

Guys can we take half a step back for a couple quick questions?

1-Is this sound coming from your deck or from the speakers (the origional post is blaming the HU...)

2-Have you or a friend done the installation or is this a profesional job (they can screw things up using much better technique)

3-Does the sound follow engine RPM

4-does the sound exist if the car is on or off.

 

And that is a nice Honda, is that the WRX version?
