Any advice in marine or car audio ???
Ok this is what i have in my boat
Head unit CDX-F5000 Sony output 4 X 23 Watts RMS Speaker Level and 1 audio Rear Out ( RCA )
My Amp a Power Acoustic PS-4 800 4 X 85 w RMS ...driving four speaker
- 2 Sony Dual cone XS-MP61 ( 20 W rms 4 ohms ) and
- 2 Kicker KM 620 Coaxial ( 65 W rms 4 ohms )
My other amp for my sub is a Kicker zx400.1 mono and the sub is a RockFord M110S4 200 Watts Rms 4 ohms.....
My question is ......i find this drawing ...and to connect the Head Unit to PS-4 800 what is the best way ...what i have found is
1- Take the the four Speaker Level...and buy a LOC ( Line Output Converter ) SLC-4 Scosche ...and drive the amp
2- Buy a EQ ....and use the output ( 4 RCA ) and drive my amp
3- Buy a Crossover ...with four rca output
Wich way is the best ??? i am not a guru in audio system ...and i made some search on loc ...and not found any con ....can you help me
thank`s in advance ...and hope my question is clear

ok here goes - see if i got this right.
You have 4 outputs from your head unit right. front and rear, but no sub out.
If this is the case buy a splitter that changes the single rear output to two ouputs - curcuit city has them.
run the one output to your to your 4 channel and the other to your sub. use the volume remote off the sub amp, looks like a telephone jack, to control the sub volume. set your gains and HP / LP (60-80 for the sub)so they blend properly.
If your head unit has no pre outs i would recommend looking for a different unit. Those converters are garbage for the most part unless you send big bucks, and replacing the head unit is cheaper.
Hope this helps.
