does the big 3 cause any harm to the alt? will it harm my car over time?

NO It will NOT HARM your damn car I have the SAME car.........In fact it will help your car in some aspects other than less dimming and better voltage stability on peaks. Better starts in colder temperature is what i noticed last year.

No downsides at all to my knowledge.
Buy my damn alternator if you want a better advantage of the big 3.

It will make your car heavier by a couple pounds is the only downside i can see......

 

^ Absolutely not! the big 3 improves efficiency = less resistance. so you get better performance from the alternator & the battery.

i was just thinking maby it could be hard on the charging system as a whole. mainly the alternator.

 

Installing the amplifiers and turning up the volume is the part thats hard on the charging system.
