I .am trying to get some Xovers that will work with a pair of focal a1's.I know the sensitiivity rating on the focals is 93dB,the Xover;s I am thinking about getting are from Boston's SC60 comps..which are rated at 90dB..I dont want to not have these focals not running at their full potential..will these work but fall short..or am I way off.

 

Don't know about them, but I have a set of xovers from a JL 6.5" component set VR650CSi. If you want to try them out give me a shout and we can get together and you can check them out. Would be willing to part with them cheap too.

The sensitivity rating is for the speakers not the crossovers. The crossovers will have very similar insertion loss, so the only thing you really need to consider is the frequency, power handling and price. The power handling rating is usually the maximum amplifier size that can be used, not the power dissipation of the crossover itself.

 

Any crossover network will be fine for what you are going for.
