hey i just noticed , i can hear a relay come on when i connect the power but the led doesnt turn on any ideas?

well i opened it up again and found some problems i scanned the pcb with my scanner take a look, i dont have a schematic for this amp but i am pretty sure two blown capacitors cant help the fact that it doesnt work

yeah i think something may have been spilled in there , the rest of the components in the amp look ok though , hopefully those caps are the only problem

i doubt thats your problem
those look like there for the audio section and should't prevent it from turning on
most of those style amps i repaired were for cold solder joint

if a cap explodes it either blows the aluminum cap outward or pops off the rubber seal

those look like the leads corroded off
from water or if there leaky the electrolite will corrode them

they are for sure in the audio section, all the adjustments are on the same board , where would the solder you are talking about be ?

^^^I believe he mentioned cold solder joints. When not enough heat is applied to the component during soldering, a cold solder joint is the result. Usually, you can wiggle the component connection arround in the board when you have a cold solder joint. Also, the solder doesn't look quite right

yeah i know what a cold solder is, i was just wondering what part of the PCB he was refering to

well i got the caps in and i have the power led now but no sound , i still think it is in that same board though , any ideas?
