well ive come to the conclusion that watching an SPL guy try to carpet a box is like watching a chimp try to solve a rubiks cube.

fought with it for a couple hours but it turned out not bad i suppose

yea i had an odd amount of patience when doing the carpet so in the end it wasnt a total disaster.

 

hm - they changed the look of the RE8 quite a bit from the one I have.

its a box inside a box.
so that i only had 1.2 cf shared for the subs but had enough space to mount both amps across.

the kenwood amp was 1/4 inch shorter so i used 4 squares of 1/4 inch material to give it a little more height and mount the same as the orion.
