I hooked up my new subs and amp the other day by myself, probably a mistake but i wanted to get it done. When wirering my subs i hooked up the Wires with the white stripe of to the Black connecter on the subs and the solid wire to the Red connecter, then i ran the two striped wires to the + input on the amp and the solids to the -. Now everything sounded awsome, pounded pretty good, then my father told me it should have been the other way around. So i go back into my box and switched the Striped wire to the red connecter and vice versa, BUT i didnt switch the speaker wire at the amp. I feel like what i have now is correct but my question is when i had it wrong before, why did it sound the same as what i have now?

Ya, it doesn't matter, you just gotta do them all the same.

If you wire one speaker one way, and the other backwards, their sounds will cancel each other out. I saw this happen in a dual 10in. sub box once... speakers are movin' like mad, hardly any sound coming out... kinda creepy.
