Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any ideas where I could mount my crossover for my component speakers? I just want to make sure it doesn't rattle around in the door, so I'm not sure if I should mount it in the door or in the vehicle itself?

Any fresh ideas are appreciated.

p.s.> component speaker install is going great so far.

Usually because moisture in the door is bad for the crossover components.

Think about it, you slam your door shut several times a day. A pasive X-over is a heavy (not the board but the inductors, caps, and resistors) circuit bord. That will loosen connections and cause premature failure.

if i can find a place inside the vapour barrier and the crossovers are non adjustable i see no reason why it would hurt them
lots of times you can put them in the vicinity of the door close handle
plus with some of the molex connectors it a pain running two pairs of wires out

most decent croosovers have glue on the componets to hold them still
driving down the road as well as bass vibration are probably just as bad
