Dodge Dakota speaker install Help?
Hello,
I am new to this site and car audio in general. I have had car systems before but always paid for the pricey installations.
I drive a 2000 Dodge Dakota quad cab and I am looking for new speakers and would like to get alpine type r components. my question is should i get two sets of components or put type r' coaxials in the back to save some money and installation.
Does anyone have any tips to installing component speakers in a dodge dakota, what all do i need to make the install. any one have any pics?

I just pulled a set of coaxials from the doors of my 99 Dakota to sell it. There are some plastic "holders" that the original speakers were in. I was able to mount 6.5" infinities in these. Personally, I would just spend the money and time on the fronts. I'm not sure about all Dakota's but this one had factory components in it so there was a location further up the door panel to mount a tweeter in if I had been so inclined. Type "R" coaxials or components are a good choice IMO.
