DVD Stereo help!

I am a total rookie with car audio, so bare with me. I just bought a Jensen DVD deck, and bought the specific Scosche wire connector for my car, attatched the wires to the according colors, and it works fine except for when i turn on the ignition, then it just does not work at all. Any ideas? I'm gonna assume it has something to do with the accessory/ignition wire?

This doesn't make sense. For the deck to run (if it is hooked up properly) it will only run when the ignition is turned on. Now even if the ACC and 12V+ wires are reversed, it will still work, it just won't keep it's memory. If the ACC and 12V+ wires are hooked up together, then it will turn on and off anytime you want. Something doesn't add up. What is the vehicle you're working on?

the only thing i can think is ive just purchased a JVC dvd deck and it requires that the emergency break be on for the video to play, so maybe you havnt hooked up the wire that allows the deck to function properly while the car is running, from what ive been told you just have to ground out the parking break wire and it will allow the deck to function while the car is in drive, hope this helps
