Fuse help?
What do you do if there isnt a fuse big enough? I am going to be running a USA-2000 and USA300, the 2000 is rated for 300amps and the 300 is probably around 90amps. How would I fuse this properly at the battery?
Also is it really necessary to put a fuse by the amp or is that just for trouble shooting?

I was thinking about that but it would cost me more money and I am going to use the knu battery terminal with the set screw terminal and run 1 1/0 from the battery to the trunk.
Can I just run a 300amp fuse or would I see problems?

What you want to get is one of these..

The 250 amp one would suffice, but the 500 amp might make you feel better.
Be prepared to spend alot of cash though.

DWVW - Where can I pick one of those up online and how much do you think the 250 and 500amp one would cost.
Capt - Its not only the extra money I would have to spend to run an extra fuse and 4awg run but also im not sure if there is space for it in my car

There is a dealer locator on the soundgate site, they will also sell direct if there is no dealer close by.
The ICB's are expensive but if you look at the technology behind them you will see how unsuitable fuses really are for modern car audio.

DWVW - SO for my system do you think that this is a requirement or just another option I should consider. the dealer locator is only for the US so I guess I would have to contact them for pricing. Thanks for the heads up, this may just be another key component in my system.
PS - Has anyone on here ever used or bought one?
