Hi to all,

I have recently installed an amp with an LOC and stock HU for my friend (this is what i was going to do, but never ended up doing it).

http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...8&cat=0&page=1
This is the LOC i used.

I have checked my power, and ground wires, they are both very secure.

I have hooked the LOC directly to the speaker terminals both left and right. (im not sure if i hooked the right wires up to the speakers. I used the white ones for negative, and grey for positive, and im not totally sure i hooked them to the right terminals on the speakers Confused . Idunno if this will affect turn on?

I have used the Remote wire that came with the LOC to connect to the amp.

I have used 12g speaker wire from the subs to the amp.

I used PG rca's.

Now the problem i am having is.......nothing. Exactly, nothing is happening. The amp wont power or, nor will the subwoofers play at all. What could be my problem here?

P.S i know LOC's suck...but its not my stereo....and thats what he wanted.
Oh ya, this is also the first time ive worked with factory stuff, and an LOC, so im new to this.

It is a 2003 Cavalier z24. It is not an infinity or bose system.

What did you hook the remote wire to for the amp?

I hooked the remote wire to the one on the LOC. I wasn't totally sure if this would work, but i tried it, thinking it would.

^^ you need to connect the remote wire to a switched power source not the LOC...

Once you have a switched power source for your remote wire, you should get power. If not, check your grounds, fuses, and all connections made.

Not to be rude, but why the f*** would i take it to a so called "pro" to spend an arm and a leg on something simple. The only problem im having is wiring the LOC to the speakers, i do now have a diagram to see what each wire is. I was told by the local dealer that once it's wired properly, that the remote wire will work.
