^ Ummm read DWVW's post again, well intentioned mistakes are still mistakes and if you blow up your friends equipment then are you prepared to buy a new one?
This section is about do it yourself stuff, sometimes it is OK to pay the "so called pro" sometimes it is OK to do it yourself.

Try looking for a factory amp on the left side of the trunk behind the carpet , some of those cars have them (looks like a black box) , if your does, tap into the wire that turns on when the radio turns on (use a meter). Actually if the factory amp is there then do all the connections there. If you dont have the factory amp in the trunk then run a fused wire to the igition.

I was told by the local dealer that once it's wired properly, that the remote wire will work.
everything is simple if you know how to do it
and thats the secret
i personally could answer your question but due to taking food from another installers mouth i choose not to answer the question

If you cant figure out a LOC then maybe you should get it installed by a shop before you mess something up. Its cheaper to have them do it then it is to replace something if you if you screw up the wiring. Generally "the so called pro" would have already dealt with the product and already and knows how to make it work. As you stated "once its wired properly... the remote wire will work", so it probably is not wired properly.

Thank's, i'll keep that in mind. Let it be known, i was not the one on here asking this question, it was my friend pretending to be me. So im sorry about the

" Not to be rude, but why the f*** would i take it to a so called "pro" to spend an arm and a leg on something simple."

I normally would not swear on here, and if i would i would **** it out.

and, apparently on some LOC there is 12V remote wire. This does not have it. I will be using a relay..possibly a tripping relay. Unless someone has an easier solution?
