Head unit not turning on

Head unit not turning on
I have installed a pyle deck and was upgrading it. The Pyle head unit worked before installation.
I have a Pioneer DEH-9500BHS head unit and am trying to install it in my 2000 Altima. I hooked up all the wires correctly initially other than mixing up the two purple wires. After my head unit didn't turn on I correctly attached all of the wires, It still did not turn on.
I checked if there current running through through the yellow wire when the key was in the ignition, there was not however there was power running through the red wire. I proceeded to swap the yellow and the red wire, the head unit still was unresponsive. There was power running to the red wire when I checked and the loop was completed when I attached my light-bulb to my car's black ground wire. I visually inspected the head unit's fuse and it was fine.
I went to the place that I bought it and tried plugging in a new deck, with the swapped red and yellow wire and it did not work.
What should I do to get this head unit turning on?
Thanks for reading
My knowledge of cables that need to be hooked up.
red: ignition
yellow: power
black: ground

those are the colours of the wires for the pioneer headunit loom. the ones in the car wont be the same colour. eg you cant just connect the red wire to another red wire. maybe worth checking if there is another radio fuse in the car. or even put the pyle deck back in to see if you can get that to work. i'd say it's a wiring issue and hope you havn't blown the deck
