Heavy static on 4 channel amp, tried everything help!!!

Hi all I'm new to the forum and here's my problem, I've got a jl 300/4v2 that I'm getting a ton of static on even when the car is not running and the volume is turned right down. I'm using a PAC module off my 2008 f350 factory head unit and I'm running 2 amps. My hd750/1 works great but if I take the rcas off of it and put it to the 4 channel I get the bad static? Ive re-grounded the amp directly(paint free) to the frame and power is straight off the cap. My power is running on the opposite side no wear near the rcas and I've double checked all my wiring. The only thing I havnt tried is that I'm still using my factory tweeters wired inlne with my jl tr570's. Can the little crossover on those tweeters cause this? Like I said the hd750 works flawless and the 300/4 was tested in another vehicle and works fine? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated

Sounds like your gains may be too high.

My gains on the amp? My volume was also extremely sensitive and just 2 notches above zero level was extremely loud. Were do I adjust this? The sensitivity ****? Sorry for my lack of knowledge but this is my first install.

I ask because my PAC module isn't adjustable and all I have for remote gains on my jl 300/4 is the input sensitivity dial

Ok so I checked the sensitivity and the **** was at about 80% clockwise on front and rear and both at low voltage setting. Do you think it's resonable to assume this was the source of my static problem?

Yes it is however the reason I asked "does this seem resonable" was because I do not wish to re install if the settings don't warrant my issue being solved. I'm looking for an opinion on weather those settings could cause a stereo to do what I have described, and yes someone out there verifies these settings could be the cause of my problem I'll re install tomorrow and give it a go again

1- if that was how troubleshooting works then I could agree, you start easy and then you go to harder (or expensive) solutions at least on the forum. Can this be causing the sound...maybe I dont know for sure what the sound is but it could be a loose connection in the audio line (HU, amp, RCA) but you seem to have addressed that correct? so the next easiest and inexpensive thing is turning a **** on the amp, that shouldn't involve disassembly and reinstallation but if it does it is only 4 screws (still easy).

2-next step would be to re-check connections in the audio and ask questions like has there been any impacts to the system that could break the PAC unit or a solder connection.

3-Correct me if I am wrong but you replaced the RCA to the amp amplifying the issue and it was still noisy? that leads me to think it is the PAC or the amp.

4- Next step take the connection from the bad sounding amp to the good amp, does it crackle too (this step will tell if it is an amp or a signal issue)

thank you very much for the insight, i know im being lazy so i re installed the amp yesterday and will try your solutions on friday.yes i did try the rcas on a different amp and i also replaced-checked wiring from PAC module so as suggested i turned the sensitivity to minimal and ill try and see what happens there. thanks again
