help amp is no powering subs correctly

alright i have a set of kicker l7s dual 4 ohm subs and i have them wired in series to bring them down to a one ohm load ,, out of the sub box i have 2 postives and 2 negatives coming out , i just got my amp yesterday a hifonics brutus mono amp , when it was wired the subs would either not play , they would play very little , we had it work alright then when we put in the bass **** plug it just shut off and when into protection mode .

i have no idea why this is no working and its pissing me off lol ..

the amp has to postive and 2 nagitive slots so i dont get this , and i really dont have any audio shops in the area to help .

so does anyone know why this is happening ?

Im going to say you may have the wiring in the box done wrong...like its cancelling out, one side being donge right, and the other side NOT .. check your wiring job...inside the box..

I would say have the amp checked, its not supposed to go into protect when you plug the remote in

okay what should my subs be wired as so i can go re wire my subs lol

also could i just use one postive and negative from the sub and put it on the postive and negative on the amp ... instead of wiring both the subs together ?

From each sub pos to pos to pos on amp,neg to neg to neg on amp.If its a mono block the two sets of terminals are just for the convienence of hooking up two subs!

unless he pulled his subs out since i put them in, they are wired correctly inside the box, atleast they were when i left his place lol. They were pounding pretty good on the amp i had them on. I was thinking it was probably the amp too.
