Help! Amp Problems
Hello! Well I need some help! Heres my Problem : after installing my Head unit, changing out stock speakers and still noticing it too quite I installed a multi channel amp, for speakers to get power and my subwoofer thats coming soon. Wired it all up, power is on, NO GAIN what so ever. My deck has the RCA outputs for front rear and sub, so i plugged monster cables running from them to the according on my amp, still no luck with anything, even when I move the dials for gain and freq. No change what so ever
. here is my equipment.
Alpine S-600's x4
Alpine IDA-x305
Pioneer GM9500F

Check RCA's.... You did run speaker wire from the 4 channel out to all of the speakers, right? Did you remember to run the remote wire from the deck to the amp? On the bottom of the deck there are switches to turn the RCA's from outputs to inputs (for Imprint) so make sure they are set correctly. Also, on the Alpines, there is a menu that you shut off the internal amp and switch to the RCA output, so make sure that is set as well
No I haven't run speaker wire to my four speakers, I will start to do that now, Also I ran the remote deck wire, so it is powering on and off, i will check the menu settings as well as the bottom of the deck for the switch's. A friend told me that if I had RCA wires that I wouldn't need to wire up the speakers but I guess he was wrong, after returning from futureshop they told me I would need to do it as well.
So if I am wiring up a speaker to each channel does that mean I will probably need another Amp if I plan to run my subwoofer ( keeping the same set up a speaker per channel? )
Thanks I will rip it all apart and reply asap
