Help with install on Saturday!

I'm installing my sub/box/amp/deck today. I need help on some things. Which gauge wire should I use? 1/0 all around or is battery/ground different? I need a terminal for my box still, should I just drill holes for 1/0 gauge or install a terminal? How would I seal the holes? Does anybody know how to remove an 00 sunfire stereo? How do I wire up a dual-2 ohm sub to a 1-ohm amp? (pos to pos on woofer then pos to pos on amp?)

here is my way of doing it drill a hole just big enought for the wire to run throught the box seal it with bathroom caulking. the trim pieces on the dash should have some screws and the rest are clips dont know how the deck comes out should be pretty straight foward. and to wire the sub link the two positives to each other then from voice coil one go to the positive on the amp same goes with negatives neg to neg then from voice coil one negative to negative amp

in terms of wire size what how many RMS watts is your setup??

for your sub box go to the source or future shop and buy the terminal cups there like $6 each and make connecting and disconnecting your box way easier and faster.

check out

www.the12volt.com for wiring options

as for removing your deck my 98 sunfire had a crappy aftermarket deck already installed so i didnt have to remove the factory deck...

to steer you in the right direction i think you would have to remove the panel over the radio (theres 2 screws on the passengers side.... accesable with the glove box open that will allow you to pull the panel off then i think the deck just unscrews.... its kind of a pain in the *** to get to the wires...if u look up under the dash you can get to any wiring needed but its a tight squeeze..
