i need help with ANNOYING Mustang Mach system

hello!

so i have a 2002 Mustang and the stock Mach Systems in these things are a pain in the ***

i have a ALPINE CDA-9886 head unit

anyway i installed it with just a regular harness and it sounds like CRAP, so i went to Futureshop and they told me i needed special wires and harnesses for the Mach System to work with a aftermarket head unit

so i ordered what the guy told me, $100.00 and 12 weeks later i got this HUGE *** bunch of wires and im stumped, sont know where half of the crap goes!

what i have is

-peripheral SVEN2 premium 2ch adjustable line output converter
-Peripheral SVHFD3 multi kit

the first one looks like this
http://www.installer.com/photos/svenrs.jpg

the 2nd one looks like this
http://www.installer.com/photos/svhfd3.jpg

how do i install this??

what do i connect the SVEN2 to?

im just totally lost, i can try and get better pictures later today, if you guys cant help me then i guess im forced to drop 200 bucks for a pro haha

my buddy will be helping me to, hes good at this stuff so if you try to explain it, he will understand

thanks guys

Chris

Man... I have had more than a few Mach systems come through my bay and have yet to have any harness work well. By far your best route is to return all that crap and simply rewire it all, bypassing the amps. We charge $150 to install the deck and string new wire to all speakers. Most shops should be in the same ballpark.

Even if you get it to all power up, classically with Ford and most other stock amplified systems, using the speaker outputs of your aftermarket deck as input to the amps will hardcore overdrive the amps, making it sound like poo, and using the RCA outputs isn't enuf signal. Not trying to discourage you, but really, I bet in the time you've spent so far with the harness, you could have rewired it. The doors are d-e-a-d easy and the hardest part about the trunk is taking that lameass enclosure down off the rear tray and putting it back. In this case, a convertible is actually easier than a coupe.

i believe the harness you have a is a amp bypass harness...huge pain in the ***. we have also had thoes cars in our shop...... either you can use a low level input ( aka rca input ) or a amp bypass kit or rewire the car, the harness i beleve you started with was a low level input harness using your amped speaker leads ...... this wont work at all
try a metra 70 -5519

In a coupe you have to drop this stupidly awkward box from under the rear deck to access the speaker wiring on top of it.

In a convertible, once you pull out the seat bottom, the wiring for the rear speakers (which are beside the back seat) is right there.
