I'm unsure where to put my 12v constant and 12v ignition wire ?

I have an aftermarket H.U.

I'm unsure where to put my 12v constant (yellow), and 12v ignition wire (red) ?

I DO have a switch, if needed.
I do not have a wiring harness.
I do not want to mess with the factory head unit.

Is there a safe way to wire these somewhere in the car? fusebox.. car battery.. etc.

Thankyou for any help here please.

buy a harness for whatever car you have and use that. if there is no harness left cause it's been cut out then the wires that originally went to the factory radio you can find a constant and switched 12v there.

its a mitsubishi eclipse, 05.

i've heard that i could use the 12v constant wire to the battery under the hood and fuse it. would this drain the battery, or the constant wire only draws very little current?

thanks.

The batery would work for this aplication, but just save yourself the hassle and spend the $15 on a harness, you can pick them up at any audio shop. Good luck
