Cool

i am looking at installing 4 10W3's into the hatch of my 1988 Ford Mustang LX. I was looking for some ideas to make the cleanest install possible, and if it is possible, without dabbing into the fiberglass aspects of it. I would like it as clean as possible, so it looks like right to the interior in all aspects.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

how much width do you have between the shock towers? if its less than 40 inches you have a fancy box to build, if you want to have any hatch space...amps...caps..what else needs to fit back there?

Not necessarily a fancy box. He could fire the woofers up, then all he would need is 20" x 20" and install them in a 2x2 grid. Or, if he doesn't have 20" of depth, say only 15", he can stagger the mounting. Like this:
O--O
-OO
and the lower two can squeez up as close as necessary to the top 2.

Hatch is gonna be just system. The 4 10's, plus I would like to display my 3 amps and 2 capacitors. Maybe my crossovers.

^^ If what he says is right (roughly 6 foot possible) go with ported. That's 1.5 per sub should be plenty for porting those JLs
