yeah its pretty simple if your measuring 12 v dc systems just set it to the 12 or something close on the side labeled for dc then if it just spikes go up one nitch till you get real readings
im guessing go off the same power source and test a ground you KNOW is good... such as directly to the neg battery, then test the ground you have now....
