Cold Cathode, about 1/4 the price on neon, and comes in 8 diff colours.

^ That's what we're talking about up there with 'neon wire' and other references to 'glowing wire'

As I mentioned, it glows more than it projects light so it may only be marginally effective. Plus it's lifespan is dissappointing IMO.
