MA Audio Kore 15 series 10 000 watts

Hey, im new to car audio, basically dont know much at all, im looking to get my first system inside a 93 camry at the moment everything is stock..

I recently picked up a Ma audio subwoofer Kore 15 series, as i understand is a monster sub, extremem competition 10 000 watts, 5000 watts rms, quad coil (dont know what that means) at 1.5 ohms............
got a great deal on it, so i dont have a competitors budget.........

anyways i need help find an amp...... right now i can get Hifonics (i heard were pretty decent amps) amp 1000 rms for 250$ im leaning towards that right now..........on ebay i saw Earthquake PHD5000W for around 400$,

so my question is, how are these amps, is earthquake a good company i never heard of them......looking for suggestions opinions, someone to point me in the right direct, and has anyone heard of profile California amps..........

I saw those subs at XSCargo a few years ago....the 15" and 18" versions came in a crate..... You had to love the packaging if nothing else....

The most power I've seen used on one was around 1,000watts. It seemed OK with it, but I don't know about the 10Kwatt rating....it is a beefy sub, but.....

The 4 voice coils are handy if you want to try throwing a lot of power at it....level setting to match 4 amps on one sub would be a PITA, wiring them to one or two inputs would be much easier.

AFAIK, Earthquake doesn't have the greatest rep as far as amps go.....they work, but the output at higher levels starts to distort a lot, and they tend to blow up if pushed hard for any length of time. This is from other people's experiences, not mine, so take it with a grain of salt. The Profile amps work, but their power ratings are fairly optimistic and there are better choices quality wise for your needs.

Remember, if it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason......

Simple solution is wire the coils into a 1.5ohm mono load and find a decent used class D amp that is stable into a 1 or 2ohm load. If you need any help with the box design and construction PM me.

yup, that sub is a monster.
pioneer premier has a new amp, D2000spl, 1500@2ohm, 2000@1ohm, so your sub is 1.5 ohm and will see about 1750Wrms.
They are exterally bridgeable so you could get 2 and double your power.
Or you could get 4, one on each coil, that would be overkill!!

The bad news is that any amp pushing 2000w, will draw a full 100 amps.
how big is your alternator?

Oh...that's it Tom.....get the new guys all excited about putting 8Kw to one sub, and then throw a technicality into the mix.....

I've never seen more than 1,600w fed into one of the 18" versions of those....not sure how one would handle that much power, but ported in 6 cubes @ 27hz it made some nice thud.....

I say get a really good amp that pushes a clean hard 1000 watts, that way you wont have to worry about alot of drain on your alt. and still be crazy loud, if it isnt enough for you then sell the amp and get something else, but IMO I think that is where you should start

Well I know that sub will take 2 RF T3000.1 bd's because we did it in our van in 2004. We blew up one of our Atomic APX 15's and stuck the MA Hardcore 15" in as a replacement and it held up just fine. The score went down a touch with that sub in there we were doing a 157, and when we put the MA in we dropped to a 156.3
