MK4 GTI install

hey guys, I'm brand new here and I'm looking for some advice on my high powered SQ install.

Equiment:

-Pioneer 880prs (fico fixed)
-stock battery and stock 90 amp alt. (kinetik 1400 & 120amp upgrade on the way)
-big 3 to be done with above upgrade
-Nakamichi PA-2004 Zed built running Focal K2Ps @ 100w rms x2 (thinking about bridging the nak resulting in 400w rms x2 and reducing the gains)
-1000/1 running and IDMAX 12 in a ported 2.6^3 box (rear firing)
-dedicated 4awg for each amp
-12 gauge monster speaker wire and jl interconnects.
-single layer raammat throughout car, excluding roof
-replaced panel clips on doors and panels

So my biggest issue is that I'm not getting enough midbass, sure I know the
k2ps roll off fast under 80 hz...so i thought about putting midbass drivers in the rear positions, but I've read that those freq are high enough to mess up the soundstage. I could give the k2ps another 50-100 watts per side, but the unwanted resonance im still getting will only be amplified by that. My mdf rings are even wrapped in dynamat extreme. There are 2 small plastic conduits in each door that have rubberized plastic that i know i should seal off to ensure the rear firing of the k2ps is completely sealed off from the front, but cant think if a clever diy for that yet. Thought about using egg crate foam in the door to put pressure on the door skin and focus the sound out the grill, in case there is leakage into the inside of the door skin since the driver face sits a good 2" back from the grill in the door skin. Even thought about stuffing the door with polyfill as this is a technique used in enclosures to improve thermal acoustics and output.

Anyone way smarter than I am out there wanna put in their $.02 how I can improve and clean up my midrange/midbass output so that my 1000/1 doesnt just drown it out? I need to do this before I can even think about any further EQing.

THANKS ALL
