Molded plastic for an enclosure
In the back of my car, there is a small area I want to use for an enclosure. Today I tore off the panelling to find a plastic "bowl" molded to the contour of the body. I want to use this as part of the enclosure. However, the plastic is not quite rigid enough (it is stiff, but pushed hard starts to flex, the same stiffness of trim panels). How can I make this "bowl" stiffer? Do I have options other than glass?
Thanks
Thanks

- Woofer: 8" (eD 9Kv.2)
- Freq range: 32hz - 150 hz
- Power: 250 - 400 rms (current amp puts out 250, but I'm looking for something new with 100 - 150 watts more.)
- Is this within the workable range?

You said that glass won't stick to plastic right? What would happen if I didn't use fleece or any other type of mat, but just applied the resin straight to the plastic?

Allright, it looks like I will need to use glass in some capacity. So, I will only use the plastic tub as a mold. Thanks.
Will I need mat/fleece, or can I just brush the resin right onto the plastic and break them apart from each other after the glass has hardened?
