Molex plugs

How many people out there hate molex plugs?
Here is how I dealt with them when adding actuators to a Acura Integra's doorlocks.
Here is the factory wires in the factory boot on the passenger door.
Here is the boot removed from the anchor points, you can see that on this car there is only on molex plug at the door side, the other side is just your regular normal open boot.
Here is the molex into the door to the factory speaker.
Here is a close up of the molex connector on the door side, no where to run wire here.
There, now we can run a couple wires to the actuator through the molex.
Here is the door side molex attached back to the door, you can see the two wires protruding through now.
Here's what it looks like from inside the door looking through the speaker hole.
Now the wires are fished through the rubber boot.
Then just feed them through the hole in the door jamb, to where they will be connected to the relays.
The pic at the start of this was actually taken after all this was done, so it should look factory when done.

I hate them too, my hands get too dirty. I run wires into the door through the door side boot, then run the wires under the hood. Then back into the car. That way it doesn't look like ***, and you have to go through firewall anyway for the the siren...just an idea...

I can do most Honda molex's in about 1/2 an hour per door from start to finish. I have pics of the easiest way to do Civic's, I'll have to search and see if I can find them. Anyways it involves two people and seem really hard, but it actually only takes two people about 15 minutes. Remove the door.

Wow, I have to say I wasn't aware so many cars came with molex plugs on the door wiring. I have yet to encounter a vehicle I've owned that had them Then again, some of the newer vehicles I've owned I haven't messed around with door wiring so I could have had them but never know

Door molex's what a total waste of time. Add some Mazda's to this list of hated time wasters as well.

GM on the other hand is the easiest. On the 99 up trucks you can unplug the harness in the kick, and pull the whole thing into the door.
