morel dotech install help
Ok...they're just connectors, all you have to do is either get mating connectors at any electronics store or canadian tire, car parts store, etc.. And make extensions with regular wire or remove them and just attach extension wires. I'd get connectors personally as it allows you to disconnect them close the the tweeter in case you have to do some work in the area.
the one wire isnt copper though. i just dont really understand why morel is so expensive and they are using cheap wire?
so wen i go to the store and i say mating connectors there gonna know what im talking about rite, or is there another name?

Every tweeter is like that. just cut it off and connect it or grab connectors and add 1 more resistance point in the path to the tweeter.
Not gonna really make a difference either way. Just install them so you can enjoy them I really like the Morels, Tweeter is super smooth

no offence taken.. i thought about this myself, but, what the hell else is there really to do? install the tweeter, woofer, connect it to the crossover, wire it to the amp. viola? or am i delusional.
either way, if i pay someone, ill never learn. so i think ill stick with asking questions. eventually with the right help ill get it

Alright, best of luck...just follow the manual and keep an eye out for proper mounting, polarity, level setting, and make sure you run the wires properly to avoid shorting. Basic install isn't hard, it's just you didn't know those caps were connectors which is basic info.
^^what do mean you don't know...if you don't then you should get it installed...those are fairly expensive speakers and it would be a shame to mess them up due to improper install. I'm not being a dick...i've seen enough bagged installs on fairly easy stuff to make the comments...stuff like hooking up the tweeter to the woofer out and blowing them, wires pinched and shorted, holes in the speaker cone or surround from screwdriver, warped speaker frames etc...

i just dont know what polarity and level setting is. but i know what your saying. pro install is key for good speakers. i just hate forking out money for stuff that i might be capable of doing
Polarity is +, - hook up...so mark your extension wires (especially if they aren't colour coded or have ++++ on them). Follow the manual for the level setting...i think there are 3 setting for tweeter level on those crossovers, so you can experiment to see which one you like. Wiring...just be careful where you run them so that they don't get pinched or interfere with any moving parts (window cranks, the window glass, etc...), and don't over tighten the speaker mounting screws as that can warp the frame.
