Need an Ohmage explanation for an install

I have a MTX8955 and want to increase the wattage going to my comps. I have 2 sets going, 1 pr into front doors and 1 set going into rear doors. All comps are 4ohms.

At 4 ohms, my amp puts out 35 watts/channel. Here are the specs:

Specifications
RMS Power 12.5 VDC Input
Low Level Input
Crossover(s)
Hi Pass @ 85Hz - Front/Rear, Fixed, Defeatable
Low Pass @ 85Hz - Sub Channel Fixed
Thunder EQ
EBC2 Port
2 Ohm Load
70 w x 4
4 Ohm Load
35 w x 4
Bridged 4 Ohm Load 140 w x 2
Dynamic Power 14.4 VDC
2 Ohm Load 100 w x 4
4 Ohm Load 50 w x 4
Bridged 4 Ohm Load 200 w x 2

My question is...How can I feed each of the crossover boxes the right ohmage, or get them down to 2 ohms so I can feed them more power.

Is this a possibility?

I know you can wire a DVC 4ohm sub to 2ohm, that's what i've done on my sub channel.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The short answer is you can't.....if you bridge the 4 channels you can use them to feed 1 pair of comps only. If you bridge them and then hook your fronts and rears to the resulting 2 channels you will damage the amp sooner or later.

For now, throw all that power at your fronts and run the rears off the head unit.....this will definitely give you a better front end and if the volume out of the rears is inadequate you will need to get another 2 channel for them......

I completely agree with HTH.

I'm a sucker for a ton of power up front.

Thanks Guys.

Maybe put my rear comps to rest and put some co-axes in there instead that'll run off deck more efficiently. I don't sit in the back seat ever and usually rear doors are fill anyway.

No way bro, I love this deck. I'm getting rid of the stock deck in my 03 Z71 Hoe shortly, as well as all the stock speakers and adding a sub. Bose is nice, but the quality of sound isn't that great compared to a fully amplified system. The only thing I've got left to pick up is the door chime and steering wheel interface and I'm good to start.

Thanks again for your help fella's !
