So I found myself in a predicament today. Took off my door skins, exited to install size up some new speakers wanted to order seas c18’s now mounting diameter is perfect I have 14.5 cm cutout. Now the depth is what kills my hopes, I have a little over 6cm for depth. The window track in the back would stop me from going any deeper, and the door skin would stop me from coming out any further. So far I have found some focal slims would fit, but im looking for something a little more DIY, I already have focal TN 52 tweeters,. Now I just need a slim woofer, any suggestions?

 

Kenwood Excelon has a new speaker that has a mounting depth od less than 1.5". They claim that it out performs any other speaker that they make too. They should be available soon, if not already. Check out an excelon dealer near you, or shoot me a pm.
