I'll need thickness of MDF to get some accurate readings, otherwise I'll just assume ¾".

Blah, it gets too difficult because I don't have a specific port area. Couldn't find any t/s params for the Shockers as well.

Basically, I came up with 8½" port length for a square 10.5"x3" port at 42Hz, giving 31.5 sq in port area. I figured the port may be too small for 2 15's, but you'd have to put the port on a different face than the subs themselves if you wanted more port area You'd have to make the port fire out of a different side than the subs, likely the height (12") side. A 10.5"x5" port would need a 19¼" port for 42Hz, but you get the port area you want - 52.5 sq in.

I'll start working on the XXX and get you some results here. What kind of port area were you looking for both specifically?

Ok, the XXX was a LITTLE easier. At least you can manage to put the sub and port face on the same side. For 32Hz tuning, use 25 ¾" port along the depth (30"), and port port size is 16.5"x 2 2/3". I suppose the 18" dimension is the height? That's what I based it off. So now you have port face and sub on the same side of the box.

Phew!

I'll get you some pics of my built boxes to give you an idea of the port principal.
