New Tools

Well, I just dropped $600 on some new tools. I picked up the PC 890 router, and a new Makita cordless drill. Let me tell you, I can't wait to get the router in a table. It is so far beyond any other router I have ever had, even the trusty 690 from PC. If you can only spend $300 on one woodworking tool this year, this is the one to get. I have been playing with all the features at home and it is amazing. Flip a lever and not only can you macro and micro adjust height, you can drop the whole motor out in a second. You can do this all from above the table as well with a few tools, imagine never having to go under the router table again or lift the plate out to make bit changes or height adjustments.
