No sound just low bass
Hi Guys,
Need help.
1st question: from the car wash yesterday and the only sound i have from my unit is very very low bass, my mids and tweeters are all dead. Is it a wiring problem or the amp?
I have a jvc mp3 head unit, tweeters connected to capacitors to boost the sound, 2 front speakers 180w(sony xplodes), kenwood 350w 6 by 9s as mids, kenwood 10" 800w sub.mid and sub all connected to a 400w amp. Whats a quick home remedy for this problem.
2nd question: when the tweeters and front speakers are connected to the amp, the unit plays for 2 seconds then silent until you switch off and on again. whats the remedy?
Thanks guys

sounds like a speaker is grounding out..
disconnect one speaker at a time, and turning the deck off and on after each one is disconnected.. when it starts playing properly, then you've found which speaker is shorting out. then you just gotta find the short. It could be behind the deck, it could be at the speaerk, and it could be anywhere between.
