Talking Old school sub set up suggestions.

Well guys I"m on vacation for the next 2 weeks and I intend to do up my winter beater (which i'm driving in the summer now).
Anyway here are the two options that I have.
2 12'' kickers free air model F-12's behind the seats of my vw jetta....

or

4 8'' kickers free air model f-8's under the back deck lid.
i'm sure i can get more spl out of the 2 12's right?

or
4 8's in a sealed scenario.

Let me know what you guys think.

I'm a big fan of free-air subs, mostly because i've done it in my last 3 cars.
To me, its a smother response, and i'm definatly not after max spl. The trick is to seal the trunk completely from the interior of the car. and if you have speakers in the rear deck as well as subs behind the seat, they have to be sealed as well.

I'd go with the 2 12", using the 'go big or go home" motto. 8 inch subs are really for mid-bass )

I would go for the sealed 8's to be honest. Just it all comes down to what type of music you listen to?

You could go two sealed 8's and a free air 12"!
