Nice install. I like the idea of being able to remove the one sub box

I was waiting for someone to ask that question.

The amp supports are actually an "L" shape, there is a small piece on the bottom, about 4 or 5 inches long, screwed and glued to the piece that actually holds the amp. This piece sticks out towards the inside of the trunk and is covered by the factory trunk mat. On the bottom of each amp support is a layer of foam because it actually rests on the trunk bottom.

There are 2 screws on the top of each amp support, the one closest to the front of the vehicle is screwed into sheet metal that braces a part of the trunk hinge, the other screw goes through the factory trunk liner into a fibreboard brace that is there from the factory.

The jack and spare tire tools from the factory are actually located in a cubby that resides behind the Phoenix Gold amp. To avoid having to uninstall the amp to get at it I took the jack out and modified the styrofoam tray above the spare tire to hold the jack and all necessary emergency tools. IMO this stuff should've been there from the factory. The install allows me to change a tire if I have to without removing, or even moving, any audio equipment.

When I get time later I'll run out and take some more pics to illustrate all of this.
