Pioneer amp fuse question

Hi
I am new here & would like to have some advices from all of you.

I am installing a Pioneer GM3300T 2 ch amp. The instruction sheet calls for 2 30A fuses in "parallel" between the + battery & amp + terminal. I called Pioneer & they insisted to follow their instruction.

All amp install kit comes with 1 fuse+holder. I cannot understand their config.
My question is: Can I just use a AGU 60A fuse, or may be a 50A.be safer?

The amp itself has a 25A fuse.

TIA.

Yup, you will be fine using the 60A fuse the kit comes with. Make sure its no more than a foot away from the positive battery terminal.

Fuse according to the size of your power cable, ie 50A for 8ga, 150A for 4ga, 300 for 1/0 etc. At least thats what I try to do.

It is very impressive to receive 2 quick advices from Jalat & benny77.

I will use the AGu 60A fuse, 8 ga wire abt 10" between battery & fuse.

Thank you both very much.

Just wondering if anybody can enlighten me, is 2 30A fuses in parallel serve the same function as 1 60A fuse.

^ Yes it does. That amp is old enough that AGU fuses were a relatively new thing in car audio - there simply wasn't much out there using a fuse bigger than 30amps. Back in the day I had a six position fuseblock with bus bars on each side for a main fuse. 180amps FTW!

That's what I've been thinking all along with my knowledge of basic electronics. The special accessory cable which Pioneer offers in their on-line store costs US$59.00

I know Gm3300T is an older model, but the mfr date stamped was Jun 09. Crabby Tire still selling it @C$139 + tax. I got it on line from USA.

Thanks for the info.
