power/amped speaker wire?

well im amping my doors, currently all 4 have kappa comp's. now my power is run inside the frame an comes up under the pass side, where the flip back thing is. now here is my question. where do i run the wires that go from the amp, to the speaker? is it safe to run them that close to the power wire? or should i take the long way around an go through the drivers side to get to the pass side speakers?

1998 blazer4dr if this helps. running 0gauge, used a tap to get the best ground i could on the frame

always keep signal(rca, speaker wire, etc...) away from high current wiring like power cables, power harnesses (fuel pump, lighting, solenoids etc...) as they can induce noise(humming, clicking, poping, whining etc...) into your system. Your best bet is to run the speaker wires and rca's along the side with the least electrical wires. You may have to move your power wire to the other side if that's where most of the other electrical wiring resides. If you have to make longer runs to keep them away from the electrical wires, then do it. Nothing is worse than annoying noise in your system, do it properly now and you won't have to worry about it again. Also, whenever you have to cross electrical wires, do it at 90 degree angles, don't run the signal and electrical along side each other.

I don't mean to start an argument here but I've got to disagree.

I would not run the low level/RCA's with high level speaker wire.
Speaker wire is safer to run with power than it is with the RCA's which are sensitive to picking up noise.

If a cd/dvd changer is in the trunk, it can also pick up voltage from speaker wires, it should be run separate or with the RCA's.

I like the low level stuff to run up the middle, with door speaker wire on each side and power on which ever side the battery is on.

ASAP, as short as possible is a good rule.

^^to each his/her own. I've yet to encounter any noise problems in any system I've installed using this system in over 20 years. Also, It is a tried and true system recommended by virtually every install guide I've ever seen. That said, every vehicle is different and every installer is different, so do what you will and see if it works for you. Ultimately, a quiet system is the goal, and there are always more than one way to skin a snake.

Noise can be induced into rca cables easily because it is running at high impedance, around 20kOhms. Speakers however as you know are only 4Ohms. So thats kinka like rcas being about 5000 times more sensitive to playing induced currents. Thats like disconnecting your speakers from your amp and connect the wires together, and then hearing noise playing from the speaker, not going to happen. Disconnecting your rca cables from your deck and shorting that end will let you hear induced noise, but thats because its going from low voltage high impedance to high voltage low impedance. You never see sheilded speaker cables do you? So dont worry about it.

In fact, I would rather have my spl speaker wires closer to power lines instead of the rca cables. They can carry high amounts of current too, especially with amps being loaded so low.
